• As part of its infrastructure, the port of Tuxpan has two warehouses, a transit one of 3,600 m2, for general cargo capacity of 8,000 tons. Divided into 3 sections, and the other one for general cargo of 6,000 m2 whit a capacity of 25,000 tons. also divided into 3 sections.
• During 2007, a fire station was built, whit the purpose of providing security to the Port and the community when needed.
• There is fire fighting system, which provides protecction and security to the port facilities.
• The Port of Tuxpan has a Integral Signals System at sea, which has 20 buoys on both banks of the Tuxpan River, 4 buoys ahead of the front in the North and South breakwaters, and 2 buoys en the lower reaches of the Tuxpan and Tanguijo reefs, located at 9 and 12 nautical miles from the sea walls.
• With the propuse of providing segurity to the maritime traffic service and users in general, the port administration has hired a 365 days a year maintenance service for the buoys to ensure optimal fuctioning.
• The Port of Tuxpan has 90,000 m2 yards for parking of cargo trailers and other vehicles, providing service to the port terminals.
• There is a lighting system along the waterfront, for night operations of loading and unloading of goods that arrive to the port.

The Integral Port Administration in Tuxpan, year after year provides maintenance dredging, with the aim of keeping the official draft of 33 feet along the navigation channel.
